Spond Club

Spond Club is a web-based club management platform that helps clubs manage membership, take payments and send club-wide messages and event invitations. 

Spond App

The Spond app handles single-team functionality, like 

• Communication with the team's players/parents/guardians

• Scheduling training, fixtures and events. Everyone can see what's happening when.

• Understanding which players are available for training and matches. 

• Cancelling training if it snows!

The Spond app integrates seamlessly with Spond Club.

How do I get my players on Spond?

The process for getting players into your Spond group is different when your group is linked to Spond Club. Here is the process...

Registration

1. Team Manager sends a registration form link to the player or their parent/guardian.
   See template messages you can send, below.

2. When the player/parent/guardian clicks on the link and they are shown information about the fees as well as the registration and payment process.
   For example, here is the form for Youth Rugby Registration.

3. They select the age group/team they are joining and then fill out and submit the form. This creates a "Sign Up Request" in Spond Club.

4. The membership admins manually review the request and, if all is well, they approve it. This creates or updates the necessary membership record in the system and adds the player to the requested group. 

At this point the player should suddently appear as a Member in the Spond group on the app and can be invited to events, etc.

Payment of Subs

5.  At some point later,  a Rugby Membership admin sends a payment request to new (or renewing) members for their Rugby Subs (ORA subs are handled separately by an ORA admin)

6. The payment request appears in the Spond app for the person who was nominated as the payment contact on the registration form

7. The payment contact pays in the Spond app and can use Apple Pay or Google Wallet to make it super easy.

At this point everything is done from a Membership and Rugby Subs perspective.

How do I get my Coaches and Team managers on the Spond App?

For someone to be a Team Manager, Coach, First Aider or Helper in the Spond group, they need to fill out the Spond Admin Registration Form.

The process is similar to the player registration except that their is obviously no payment step.

Rugby Subs & ORA Fees

Rugby subs 

This season Rugby Subs are due 30th September.

RugRuts to U18: First player £200, Siblings £150

U19 - U21: £100 (this was previously called "Student") 

U22+: £275 

Old Rutlishians’ Association (ORA) annual membership

£55 (billed separately by the ORA - and possibly some time later - but also in the Spond app)

Who needs to pay? 

• Every adult player 

• At least one parent of a child player
